Localidad: Chile, Región II (Antofagasta), El Loa, Ruta 23, c. 600 m south of the junction with B-357 (road which leads to Talabre).
Observaciones: Growing in large sandy, dried-out river bed, with large rocks; vegetation extremely sparse, consisting of xerophytic shrubs. No uncommon in area, but about 5-7 plants observed near this point.
