Localidad: Chile, Región XV (Arica y Parinacota), Arica, Ruta 11, at km 68, past a bridge, driving from the Junction with A-191, towards Zapahuira (Quebrada Cardones); about 31.5 km before arriving to Zapahuira (junction A-31).

Observaciones: Growing in rocky, sandy soil of a quebrada coming down the slopes, accessed from the main road; vegetation is composed of low-growing xerophytic shrubs, slopes above have virtually no vegetation with the exception of candelabra cacti (Browningia candelarius).
